Lady Kristen
Notice how the damask design fit just perfect on the center back. To do this you need a little extra fabric. The headband is wrapped with gold gimp and ties in the back with the same cord as used on the bodice.
I made a simple little pouch out of the extra damask. Beads for a tassle and weight on the flap to keep it closed.
Hey honey, your on the web! This is the dress after a day of rain. She says it was comfortable to go dancing in the rain. I think the bodice has a  great ommph quality about it.

Thanks Kris for making me feel like a Queen at the Faire.
This dress was made for a client who became a good friend. I used the Simplicity pattern #8192. She really liked the way it looked on the pattern envelope. I usually don't make things just as they are but this time I followed the instructions. When we went to look at fabric we lucked out and found the Coventry blue damask and medium weight yellow linen. The bodice and cuffs lace up with a gold cord. The wide ribbon used on the bottom of the dress has a wonderful embroidered look.  This is an early italian renaissance style dress and bodice. It is not a historical costume but
